There is a genius strategy that those adepts intelligent and dedicated enough can pursue to solve it: do some more World Quests until you get non-Corrupted pieces. Yes, I agree, it is bad and inconsiderate and inappropriate that characters get Corrupted gear from World Quests before getting the Cloak and entering the dailies and visions.īut let’s not wear out the strings on the violin.

Surely a better design would be to not have corruption effects show up until you’ve at least STARTED the quest chain? what next, will my lowbie alts start getting corrupted gear from dungeon finder? So I can either wear my ilvl 284 heirloom rings, constantly deal with irritating mechanics or do a lengthy quest chain to unlock cleansing that I haven’t even bothered doing on my MAIN yet? by the time I realise why I’m constantly under attack from eyeballs and tentacles I’ve long since scrapped my old rings I was only vaguely aware that the corrupted gear mechanic even existed and assumed it was limited to raiding and mythic rewards so I didn’t really pay much notice to the rings I got from world quests. what is annoying though is that they have corruption on them and this is on a character that hasn’t even handed in the An Unwelcome Advisor quest it’s pretty daft that these world quests now give rewards that are mostly better than what my main has, but that doesn’t really bother me. my main is only part way through the legendary cloak quest chain but for the moment I’m focusing on Proudmoore Admiralty rep to unlock my last Allied Race so I’m doing world quests on an Alliance alt. I don’t have as much time for WoW as I used to so these days I’m a casual player and take things at a slow pace.
